Catherine Park, MD, FASTRO, Professor and Chair, Radiation Oncologist, Department of Radiation Oncology, University of California, San Francisco
Dr. Catherine Park is a radiation oncologist with special interest in treating patients with breast cancer. Dr. Park received a B.A. in History of Art in 1989 from UC Berkeley, and then in 1995 earned her medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She completed an internship in internal medicine, and subsequently her residency in radiation oncology, at Harvard Medical School (2000). Dr. Park joined UCSF faculty in 2000, and was also a faculty biologist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from 2008-2015. She was named Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology in 2015. Dr. Park has received numerous awards, including the Upjohn Achievement Award and C. Donald O'Malley Prize in the History of Medicine. She was elected as ASTRO Science Council Chair and to the ASTRO Board of Directors in 2017, and is a Fellow of ASTRO.
